What you'll be be responsible for 

Our data engineering team is the core of the work we do at SocialCops. As a data engineer, You live, eat and breathe data. Data is at the core of our operations at SocialCops & you’ll be responsible for fuelling its growth.

Data Parsing Team

Parsing is at the heart of what we do at SocialCops. On a daily basis, the parsing team strategizes and executes on best practices for extracting and transforming data from any number of sources. You might be decoding parameters from internal APIs, web-scraping or parsing PDFs – all while learning a new Python library to better manipulate language inconsistencies, images et al.

Data Search Team

Our search team works on buiding search algorithms that make our data searchable by data point. Indexing through millions of data sets, building an intuitive search experience & building the first search engine for developing world data.

Weapon: Elastic Search

Data Visualization Team

Our visualization team turns millions of data points into one simple crisp visualization. Part designer, Part artist, Part Data scientist - deriving insights from data & making data come alive to tell stories give you a high. 

Weapons: D3.js, Leaflet

What you'll be building 

Our data stack revolutionizes the way organizations collect data, search through data, consume data & visualize data. Our back end engineering team works across our products with the aim of building the most robust & intuitive features for surveying & monitoring, analytics & searching through millions of data sets. What we expect of you 

• Proficiency in Python/ node.js/ elastic search 
• Have knowledge about Backend as a Service
• Familiar with Github and collaborative teamwork softwares
• Good with REST API concepts and JSON manipulation
• Have a background in NOSQL / MONGODB stack
